MTBCH 2016 Prologue - a solid warm up

The route of today's 36km prologue led from Sienna through Międzygórze to Stronie Śląskie. Adding 1100m of elevation meant some serious business and a proper warm up before stage 1. Riders had to tackle well known climbs, like the one to Czarna Góraas well as demanding descent to Międzygórze or a technical path from Czarna Góra to Puchaczówka Pass. The weather was really racing friendly - warm, but not hot with, no rain and occasional sunshines.

Dariusz Poroś (MTB Votum Orbea Team Wrocław) will start tomorrow's first stage as a race leader. He was, without a question, the fastest rider today, gaining more than two minutes over second Steffen Langer (Mad East Callenge). The podium was completed by Belgian Robby de Bock (KMC Team).

Aneta Imielska (Mitsubishi Materials MTB Team) was the fastest woman of the day. She outridden Marta Gogolewska (Merx Team Wągrowiec) and French rider Martine Chartier (PENTHIEVRE VELO TEAM).

TNN Meets MTB of Belgium was the fastest duo of the day and leads the team classification, although the time difference between them and Danes form Pronghorn Racing, who came 2nd today, isn't very big, so we can expect a lot of exciting moments tomorrow and on following days.

Fastest riders on Half distance were: Adam Ważny (Team TC) [MEN] and Magda Szymańska (Trybik Northwave Team – Trybiki 28) [WOMEN].
